Hmmmm… which filter is the new one and which one is the old one?
A lot can be said about air filters for furnaces and central air conditioners, but at the very least they should be changed on a regular basis.
How often are you changing yours? The one pictured here had been left in place for 4 months and had been used consistently through the winter. It’s full of cat hair and house dust. A 1″ thick air filter such as this one should be changed on a monthly basis – especially when the HVAC system is in regular use during heating and cooling seasons. Clogged air filters can cost you money on service calls as they can cause problems with the operation of your system.
